Can we talk about Steve here? The way he’s looking at the Tesseract. He must be thinking “how could something this small cause so much pain?” The war it started, the years it cost him… the friends he lost…
Oh, you see, I’ve always looked at this scene a bit differently.
Because I absolutely think those thoughts are going through his head, that this tiny little thing caused so much pain. I’m sure Steve is absolutely glad to see it go. But there’s something else about this scene. Right now, they’re about to send Loki and Thor back to Asgard with the help of the Tesseract. They’re about to be transported somewhere else. With the help of the Tesseract.
Now, let’s think back to the First Avenger. What happens during the final battle against the Cube? Oh, that’s right. Skull disappears. The Cube makes the Red Skull disappear. In a way that looks damned similar to what we see in a bit with the teleportation, the portal, etc.
What I read on Steve’s face is worry.
Worry that maybe the Red Skull might be alive, that the Tesseract might not have killed the Red Skull. That the Skull might still be out there, hiding and waiting. Steve survived seventy years. Why wouldn’t the Red Skull?
And that’s what I see on his face. That regret for everything, the fact that this was the cause of so much pain. But also the worry that another cause of that pain is still out there.
"Worried, Captain? Oh, you should be. Because I’m still out there … waiting."
honestly sometimes in school people say the most ridiculous shit and I make this face and look somewhere at an imaginary camera like I’m on The Office
My school has security cameras in every classroom and I’ve done this at least 3 times each class this entire year. Today the security guard came up to me and told me I was his hero.

Some of these are so awkward, and some are great, and there’s that one with the dad that’s just 100% heartbreaking.
Shut. The fuck. Up.
I have a great need
The sound that came out of my body was most definitely not human.
